Role Summary
As a Sales Representative R&I you will generate demand for AstraZeneca’s brands, identify and pursue business opportunities, engage stakeholders through value-driven propositions, and recommend strategic solutions. Achieving sales targets and developing business in accordance with the Territory Action Plan (TAP) will be central to your success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning: Develop account strategies to strengthen the positioning of AstraZeneca’s product portfolio at local/hospital levels. Work closely with the FL to build local plans, support product launches with cross-functional teams, and drive account management with strategic focus.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build deep relationships with key stakeholders. Engage healthcare professionals (HCPs) through calls and activities to discuss approved indications, efficacy, safety profiles, and treatment protocols—influencing appropriate, on-label prescribing.
Capability Building & Knowledge Sharing: Enhance understanding of AstraZeneca’s value proposition and products among stakeholders using diverse communication channels including digital engagements and educational programmes with KOLs and physician advocates.
Sales Delivery: Meet or exceed sales targets, manage budgets, and assess market trends. Utilize balanced messaging and the full spectrum of promotional tools, ensuring optimal utilization of AstraZeneca products in line with guidelines.
Compliance: Ensure all activities align with external regulations and internal policies—completing necessary training and reporting any medical queries or adverse events as required.
Leadership & Functional Skills: Exemplify AstraZeneca values. Apply leadership selling (UNLOC Framework), disease and product knowledge, business acumen, and demonstrate a growth mindset through feedback, challenge, and teamwork.
Education, Qualifications, and Experience
Essential:
Confident knowledge of relevant products and/or therapeutic areas
Proven track record in achieving strong sales results
Demonstrated influence within complex ecosystems with multiple stakeholders
Experience in cross-functional team collaboration
Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Fluent in French and/or Dutch plus English
Drive and resilience. Entrepreneurial and innovative spirit
Desirable:
Knowledge of the healthcare environment or health economics
Experience in respiratory therapeutic area
Master’s degree in a medical or scientific field
